Artist Statement

My artistic voice expresses itself through a passion for unlimited possibilities, exploration and experimentation with mixed media collage. 

Working with a combination of materials using acrylic paint, text, found  imagery, vintage magazines, ink, and a variety of papers, I begin with an overall concept and tell a story relating to the American culture of the 1950’s and 60’s.

Having been born in the 50’s I am very drawn to the elegance, style and simplicity of that era.  I use imagery to create an abstract, urban, contemporary design allowing creative thought to take over, taking risks and trusting the process.  It is a continuous experience of stepping into the unknown and allowing the magic to unfold.
